Artist Spotlight – dante b

Meet the Multi-Talented Artist from Fort Worth: A Conversation with Dante B
Hailing from Fort Worth, Texas, this rising star is carving out a unique lane in the world of rap and comedy. With a sound that blends raw Southern energy, clever humor, and a deep love for classic music, he’s proving that artistry has no limits. We sat down with him to learn more about his journey, inspirations, and creative process.
Finding himself
Music has always been in his blood. Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he grew up surrounded by the sounds of different genres. “My parents were always playing all kinds of music,” he shares. “That’s what made me interested in creating sounds.” With both parents and an older brother by his side, family played a huge role in shaping who he is today. Sadly, his father passed away in 2016 due to cancer, but his influence and support continue to guide him. “My parents are my biggest supporters,” he says.
Early Inspirations
When it comes to musical influences, his taste runs deep. “I grew up on the Dogg Pound Family, No Limit, Suave House, and Rap-A-Lot,” he explains. “But I also listen to a lot of ’80s and ’90s pop, R&B, jazz, techno, and house music — you can hear all of that in my songs.”
That love for music started early. “Since I was a kid watching Michael Jackson and Bobby Brown, I fell in love with music,” he recalls. Those iconic performances inspired him to one day command the stage himself.
The Start of a Career
He officially stepped into the music scene in 2013, starting with open mics and networking with local promoters and DJs. “That’s how I learned the do’s and don’ts of the business,” he says. Since then, he’s built a name for himself as not only a rapper, but also a producer and host, bringing energy and authenticity wherever he goes.
Current Projects
Right now, he’s pushing his single “Bunnyhop”, which has already made its way onto several radio stations. “I’m also working on a new project called Straight 2 It,” he reveals. His growing catalog includes party and club favorites like “Dance,” “OK,” “IDT,” “Knees,” and “Toaster Strudel,” along with his EP Intro and group project Blunt Music – The 1st Breeze.
Owning the Stage
Ask anyone who’s seen him live — he’s a natural performer. “I put a lot of energy into my shows,” he says. “I like to connect with the crowd, crack jokes between lyrics, and keep people moving. If I see someone dancing, I’ll bring them closer or hand out bunny ears when I have them. I want people to leave with something to remember.”
The Meaning Behind the Music
For him, music is much more than sound — it’s an experience. “The art of music is creating a feeling that connects energy, emotion, and rhythm,” he explains. “It’s about making people move.”
When asked what being an artist means, his answer is simple yet powerful: “It’s about expressing yourself in a way that connects — turning my thoughts, energy, jokes, and experiences into something others can feel.”
With his unique blend of humor, rhythm, and heart, this Fort Worth artist continues to prove that authenticity and creativity are the keys to standing out in today’s music world.
