Leveling up to Music Mastery: The Rise of Producer Phonz #29skyyent

Every great producer has a spark — a moment when inspiration hits and everything changes. For Producer Phonz, that moment came in 2019, during his senior year of high school, when Gunna dropped Drip or Drown 2. The album didn’t just resonate — it lit a fire. One beat led to another, and before long, Phonz was on his way to carving out his own name in the world of music production.
But Phonz’s story starts long before the beats and basslines.
Growing up in Marietta, Georgia, music was always in the air for Phonz. His parents were deeply involved in the church, and as many know, that’s often where musical journeys begin. He picked up the guitar in third grade, and from there, the passion only grew. Over the years, he would go on to learn and play the flute, tuba, and percussion, showing early on that music wasn’t just a hobby — it was a way of life.
By 2019, Phonz transitioned from playing instruments to making beats. Sparked by the sounds of Drip or Drown 2, he began diving deep into the world of production. Inspired by top-tier producers like Turbo and Weezy, Phonz started to find his own style, one beat at a time.
That dedication quickly began to pay off. He landed a placement with Thouxanbanfauni, a major milestone that validated his grind and growth. But that was just the beginning.
Phonz isn’t the type to wait for inspiration. He makes beats every day, understanding that consistency is the key to success. But he’s also honest about the challenges.
“The hardest thing about making a beat,” he says, “is making one when you don’t feel like it. But I just put something in my head… and if I make the beat, something else will happen.”
It’s a mindset that keeps him moving forward — even when motivation dips, discipline takes the wheel.
Right now, Phonz is locked in the studio, working on multiple projects — both solo and collaborative. He’s cooking up some heat alongside artists like G Hendrix and Sway, with more in the pipeline. These collaborations are all about pushing the sound forward and keeping things fresh.
He’s also proudly aligned with 29 Skyy, which he calls “real family” — a testament to the strong roots and solid team that have supported him from the start.
If given the chance, Phonz says he’d love to work with Post Malone, drawn to his genre-blending artistry and massive global reach. When it comes to his own top producers, he names legends: Kanye West, David Guetta, and of course, Weezy.
These influences show the diversity in Phonz’s taste — from experimental hip-hop to EDM, his sound is wide open, and so is his vision.
As Phonz continues to grow, one thing is clear: he’s all in. He’s laid the foundation with years of musicianship, refined his skills with consistent grind, and he’s just getting started. With beats that slap and a work ethic that won’t quit, Producer Phonz is a name you’ll want to remember.
From a kid with a guitar in Marietta to a beatmaker with major placements and big dreams, the journey is only beginning — and the best is yet to come.
